		<description>No, Burroughs himself was not an actor in the play. He allowed me to go through his unpublished correspondence when I was researching the play based on his novel QUEER, and he read parts of the play as I was writing it.  He came to the opening night performance of the play, and autographed copies of QUEER at the theater.  It was a joy working with him.  If you&#039;re interested, you can also read the various entries in my blog about the NAKED LUNCH party I gave for him here in Lawrence, just before he moved to live permanently in Lawrence.</description>
